Billing & payments

How do I pay my bill?

You can pay securely online using the Make a Payment button at the top of any page on this website, which opens our secure payment portal. You can also pay by phone or in person at either office. If you have a question about a statement, call our billing team at 541.585.7546.

When do you collect payment?

Copays and any known patient responsibility are collected at the time of your visit, which is standard practice and often required by your insurance plan. For some procedures or cash-pay services, payment may be requested at the time of service. Any remaining balance after your insurance processes the claim is billed to you afterward.

What is a copay?

A copay is a fixed amount your insurance plan requires you to pay for a visit — for example, a set dollar amount for a specialist appointment. The amount is set by your plan, not by Juniper, and is due at the time of your visit.

What is a deductible, and why do I owe a balance after my visit?

A deductible is the amount you pay out of pocket each year before your insurance begins to pay its share. If you have not met your deductible, your plan may apply part or all of the visit toward it, which can leave a balance that is billed to you after the claim is processed. The exact amount depends on your plan and how far along you are toward meeting your deductible.

Will I know my exact cost before my visit?

Not always. Because your responsibility depends on your specific plan, your deductible status, and how the claim is processed, we often cannot quote an exact amount in advance. Our team can verify benefits and give you an estimate when possible, but verification is not a guarantee of coverage or payment.

Do you offer cash-pay (self-pay) options?

Yes. Many medical visits can be billed to insurance, and we also offer straightforward cash-pay options. Cosmetic and aesthetic treatments are generally self-pay. Ask our team which option fits your visit.

Insurance

What insurance do you accept?

Juniper Dermatology accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans. Participation can change and varies by plan and visit type, so please call 541.585.7546 to confirm we are in-network for your specific plan before your appointment.

Do you take Medicare?

Yes. We accept Medicare for medically necessary dermatology services. Coverage and any out-of-pocket responsibility still depend on your specific plan and the services provided.

Is a cosmetic or aesthetic treatment covered by insurance?

Cosmetic and aesthetic treatments are generally not covered by insurance and are self-pay. If a service is medically necessary, it may be eligible for coverage — our team can help you understand the difference.

Prescriptions & refills

How do I request a prescription refill?

The fastest way to request a refill is to have your pharmacy send the refill request to our office electronically. You can also contact us directly. Please allow a few business days for refill requests to be reviewed and processed.

Why might I need an appointment before a refill?

Some medications require a current visit or periodic monitoring before they can be renewed, which is for your safety and follows prescribing guidelines. If that applies to your medication, our team will let you know and help you schedule.

Appointments & records

How do I schedule, reschedule, or cancel an appointment?

You can schedule online using the Book now button at the top of any page, or call or text us at 541.585.7546. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer the time to another patient.

How do I request my medical records?

Contact our office at 541.585.7546 to request a copy of your medical records. We will walk you through the required authorization so your information is released securely and in line with privacy regulations.

Where can I find your Notice of Privacy Practices?

A copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices is posted in our lobby and available on request. You may ask our front desk for a printed copy at any time.
